Will the CDA credential be invalid in a couple of years?

I'm a CDA student and my co- worker who has an associates degree in ECE told me that the CDA credential will no longer be accepted and you will need at least A.A degree effective in 2010.any truth to this? I live in Pennsylvania

Anything is possible, however it is not a given at this time.

I am sure if it is to  come to pass then you will have sufficient time, and opportunity to upgrade to the required standard.

I am very into my CDA. I encourage everyone to get their CDA. I would know if they were not going to be excepting it. I am opening a center and will require all my workers to get their CDA but you can check the Council's website (http://www.cdacouncil.org/cda.htm ). There is an on-line support link to the left of the screen midways down. They can answer all your questions from 9am - 5 pm est. Also if you contact me i will be done asked my advisor I'm sure she knows also she teaches CDA classes.
