In 2004, the primary democratic strategy was to attack Bush's record and spreading the hype that the United States under his leadership had resulted in virtually creating a third world country over run with poverty and hunger, people dying in the streets from lack of medical care and spreading jack booted tyranny here at home and around the world. The only truth in their attack was the fact that the Iraqi reconstruction wasn't going well.
And yet, it didn't work. Not even close. Ever since, democrats and pundits have been struggling to explain it.
My question is, will such democratic scare tactics work this time? In 2004 the democrats had a goofy and bumbling self styled war hero in the form of John Kerry as their candidate. This time, they've got Barack Obama. While not as goofy, he's still as bumbling and even less experienced than Kerry.
What do you think? Will democrat SOP work this time? I'm thinking not.
