Will the Depo shot effect a preg test result?

I had the shot, but also had unprotected s*x and just took a home test and it came out positive. Is it possible the shot effected the results?

Yes, but go to the MD asap cuz depo is a contraceptive so if you really are pregnant it can cause harmful side effects to the baby

most likely it does not. you should go get checked out by a doctor to make sure everything is okay

From personal experience I had never gotten a positive pregnancy test while on the depo, not a home test or a test at a doctors office.  I was on it for 8.5 years.  As far as I know and read, no it does not effect the results of any pregnancy test.
