  1. He will go to Atlanta!

  2. Sabathia is the prime FA of 2009 but with the Tigers holding a $137 million payroll, I don't expect them to make a play for Sabathia, since he's looking for a deal in a range of $100 million for several years. Sabathia is a native Californian so he would prefer to stay in the West Coast, although he wouldn't rule out playing East. I expect the Dodgers, Angels, or Padres to compete for his service. The Yankees and Mets might be formidable suitors with the Red Sox still having a chance. Whoever team he signs, Sabathia will get paid.

  3. its definitely possible. the tigers showed they are not afraid of spending big money on big name players last offseason when they surprised everyone by getting Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle from Florida. i think CC wants to stay in the NL but its possible he resigns with an AL team if the price is right

  4. Y WOULD THE ******* BREWERS GIVE HIM UP?

THERE GONNA GET HIM AND THE CUBS ARE GOING TO R*** HIM!!!!

  5. Nope, they have the oft injured Zumaya:

  6. Definitely not. But I thought the Brewers signed Sabathia to at least a two-year deal? I'm probably mistaken.

The Brewers are in contention for a long time and will not deal away Sabathia.

  7. C.C. is going to the yankees

  8. Well if either Bay Area team made a push for him he'd be inclined to sign there because he's from there, but I don't see that happening.  I think the Mets will make a big push for him, and possibly a team like Atlanta with Smoltz and Glavine on the verge of retiring.

  9. I'd say no Sabathia will never accept because the tigers always give away there good players.

http://mlb.com this link shows that they gave away Ivan Rodriguez the second best catcher ever. The first is Johnny Bench

  10. i think the tigers could be interested, considering that kenny rogers is old and dontrelle willis has either been hurt or ineffective, but i doubt they will be a major player...i think the brewers will make a run at bringing him back, but i think the yankees, the braves, and possibly the rangers will be the teams most interested...the yankees could have two holes to fill in their rotation next year with pettitte retiring and mussina possibly retiring, the braves can't expect smoltz to start next year and they don't know how long they will get out of glavine, and the rangers just need a good starting pitcher to go along with their prolific offense

  11. ya

  12. Possibly. I can tell you though, you will be going up against the Braves for him. We're gonna be making a run at either him, Sheets, or Lackey. My guess is it will be Sabathia. We're gonna go out and get an ace to make up for Hudson (he's gotta have Tommy John) and to help Hudson when he gets back. So, if they go after him, it may turn into a bidding war. I don't know how much the Tigers have to spend after this year with so many high paid players on the team.

  13. No chance, Sabathia wants to hit that's why he wanted to come to the NL.  He will resign with another NL team.  Sorry Yankee and Red Sox fans.

EDIT:  That's exactly why I said that HE WON'T sign with an AL team and he WILL sign with a NL team.  I'm a Cubs fan, trust me I know the difference between the two leagues.  Signing with an NL team would mean he has a chance to bat much more often.  An FYI for you, in interleague play AL pitchers do bat when playing at a NL park.  Read my entire comment before you start correcting someone who's statement was correct the first time.
