  1. I'm sorry, it won't.  The converter box converts the video to analog.  So, it will not look any better than your TV does now.  The box will just let you see the digital TV on your existing TV.  To get High def, you need a TV that will display High Def.

  2. Not exactly. First of all, if you have cable or satellite you don't need the converter and it won't be compatible with your service. Your cable/satellite provider will provide you with any equipment you need.

If you have a TV top (rabbit ears, round antenna) or a rooftop antenna, the converter will tune the digital and hidef signals from your local TV stations. The picture you get will probably look much better than the way it looks now. It might look perfect to your eyes. It won't be as clear as hidef though.

  3. No. This is a common misconception. The digital conversion DOES NOT MEAN HIGH DEFINITION! Although high definition is a digital signal, not all digital signals are high definition. On a standard tv, you'll notice slight improvement when switching to digital, but not one like switching from standard to high definition. If you want high definition, you will need to buy an HDTV. Hope this helps.
