Will the Embassy /Consulate Help Me?

May I,a Bangladeshi national,look forward for help from the S.Korea Embassy/Consulate in Bangladesh in finding out information about a Korean national who had been here years back? How,if yes?

Embassies may have maintain a register of citizens in the country. However, this information is confidential and is usually collected for use in emergencies or providing consular services.

Why should any Embassy have a record of any citizen? Embassies do not hold any informations about any citizen. Embassies just have records of persons who got involved in criminals acts. In the host country or the home country. These informations would not be passed on to you anyway.

Some countries advice their citizen to sign up with their Embassy. But this is not to pass out information to other people.
