Snippet form the news source:

On Oct. 23 HR 1955 the "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007" was passed by the House with 404 members voting in favor of this blatantly unconstitutional bill. - Ron Paul

One passage is the perceived overly broad and vague definitions of "force", “home grown terrorism” and “violent radicalization” (section 899A). Critics charge that the vagueness in these definitions would permit the government to classify many types of venerated American political activity, such as civil disobedience, as terrorism. Critics frequently cite Section 899A which reads, in part: "The use, planned use, or threatened use, of force ...to coerce the ..government, (or) civilian population ..in furtherance of political or social objectives",[17] as particularly problematic. 1. Free speech is all but dead . It is them against US .

  2. I have no idea what you just said, but I feel that yahoo answers is a way for every one to voice there point of views and isn,t that freedom of speach? But most of all I personall find that yahoo answers is very helpful when tring to ask a question. You have a lot of very helpful answers to choose from.

  3. You need to read the actual bill then reach your own conclusions.

Relying on somebody like Ron Paul will only give you the opinion of somebody who only represents the views of about 2% of the population.

  4. It will be just like in China around here.

  5. Hmmm isn't that what the ACLU has been warning us about?

  6. Yahoo is a private business. They don't even have to provide this feature to anyone and can shut it down tomorrow. They did that with their message boards on news stories.

In short, they are not part of the freedom of speech or of the press mentioned in the first amendment to the U.S. Constitution and I sometimes feel despair over the growing number of people who have never read the document or understand that Yahoo posts terms and conditions for this "answers" feature and it is their right to do so. It is also their right to pull the plug on this feature whether or not any legislation is passed.

  7. You will notice a lot of changes if this bill is passed. A lot of bad changes. Under this bill political dissent is considered Terrorism. Meaning if you disagree with the current administration and the status quo you are a Terrorist.

  8. Human Right to Peace from The UN, and suggestions citizens have it as a right in The Constitution might pose a problem to it then which is ironic. The Human Right to own The Planet and conserve natural resources again might be construed as attempting to change Society a la Status Quo.
