So... is electing a woman only a progressive move when the woman is a liberal, or what? I guess I don't see the logic.

  1. no.

  2. Thats pretty much why Mccain picked her

  3. I sure hope so!

  4. Get real. Palin is NOT anything like Hillary.

Palin is a docile and obedient Republican woman who does what she is told.

She does NOT support women's issues.

Romney could have won over more Hillary supporters than Palin.

  5. I'd say so because they are pissed off enough @ Obama.

  6. Maybe, I hope a recent email l there MC is trying to sapatage the GOP and even it he win, hope will not pull the party line

White back it you would,to debate these difference and maybe I could soon adamant Obama supported.

    bounce it right back

  7. No- It's so transparent!

  8. Hopefully, if they don't they are missing an opportunity to make history and advance their cause, Palin could easily be elected President in a few years.

  9. Given this woman's stand on the issues. Hardly. No self-respecting woman would do such a thing.

  10. Yes sirre bob! You know it! Bye, bye Obama!

  11. No i don't but that is what McSame is hoping for... This a pathetic move on his behalf.

  12. Nope and I'm a hard core Hill supporter. I'm voting for Biden. Its an insult to all women that he chose her just to get our votes. I wouldn't vote for her even if she was running for presidency. She lacks experience and doesn't have much of an education either.

  13. They weren't voting for Hillary only because she was a woman.  Women politicians are not interchangeable and if that was the thinking behind this choice then McCain is even more foolish than I thought he was.

Women politicians stand for certain ideas and ideals just as male politicians do. Palin's stand on the issues bears absolutely no resemblance to Hillary's whatsoever.  In fact, it is just the opposite.  It is not progressive to vote for a non-progressive woman. Therein lies the logic.

Also, why are people saying that this is historic when Geraldine Ferraro was a VP candidate, decades before this.  Of course, she was a Democratic candidate and understandably Democrats are always well ahead of Republicans as far as progressive ideas.

  14. If this is all it takes, that would make them pretty d**n shallow, don't you think?  I doubt very much anyone would cast a vote based on genitalia.

  15. I don't think so, Palin has a different set of ideals and beliefs than anyone that was following Hillary.  In fact i would say she is the exact opposite candidate of Clinton.  I know that Palin is very very Pro-Life which goes against many women's beleifs

  16. Perhaps...

  17. If s*x is the only thing they see as the needed qualities of a good Pres/VP. Hopefully this isn't the case. People need to look past race and s*x to see who the person is. Do we really believe when serious decisions effecting the lives of our citizens are made, being a woman will make a difference? How about if we are attacked again, perhaps this time with a nuke....will being black help Obama make better decisions? No, of course not. Their experience, skills, and character will determine the sort of President they will make.

  18. That is what McCain and his clones are counting on.

  19. As a woman, I'm deeply offended and refuse to vote for this man after he'd pull such a stunt.

Mr. McCain had my vote and today, he lost it.

  20. I hope so. However, other than being female these 2 ladies are opposite on almost everything else. This will be a very historic election, no matter what happens in November. I think this was a genius pick by John McCain.
