Question:

Will the IPL affect Australia's cricketers?

Most players are of Indian origin and from the last test played against Australia showed us their poor ability to field or even catch. Sure it's good for the fans, but will it be for our cricketers?

  1. IPL may entice the Aussies with the money, so you might see some early retirements. However, their skills will not be affected.

  2. it wont affect them

  3. They are doing well in India and getting a lot of money. They may just give it up and stay here.

  4. To be honest I don't care because I just love the IPL. Its exciting and entertaining. That's what's it is all about

  5. It's sure affecting cricket Australia :-)

  6. It might not affect them. Aussie cricketers have a good consistency.

  7. India won the one day series finals 2-0, add to that team some of the best from SA, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand and the Aussie players, especially the FRINGE players will learn a lot

Even if they don't learn anything from the other players (which they WILL) they will have a lot of experience for their next tour of the sub continent and maybe even a few more fans!

  8. Remember that IPL approached these aussie players, it's not that they'd all queued up and put their hands up to play in IPL, the money they'll earn playing in IPL is too good to resist and they are just being practical, most sports people retire at their early age and if they could earn that much money in just a short time then why not.  Also there could be a politics between the players, country and IPL who knows, maybe some are playing to show gratitude or something who know....

And NO it's nto affecting aussie cricketers, in fact, they might be learning and practicing through playing IPL.

  9. It already has.

    Gilly retired early.

Symmonds refused to go to Pak.

    Pak tour did get cancelled.

They are all here in IPL doing well.
