  1. The internet is the internet. The speed at which you access pieces of the internet are dependent on your Internet Service Provider (ISP) which can be cable if it is offered in your area. Generally the connection on your end is the limitation and not the sites you are actually trying to connect to.


  2. It is already offered as a cable modem option through the same lines as digital cable.

  3. Not sure what is in-place in your market, but cable TV suppliers in my area (southern New Jersey) offer Internet services plus cable TV and telephone.

  4. I'm not quite sure what it is you're thinking of.  Right now, TV and the internet are two separate services.

    However, I can certainly see the two combining into a single entity.  For instance, perhaps while watching a story about last night's game, you could dynamically request things like statistics from the game, interviews with the players, highlight videos, or other related information.  Likewise, if you were watching a pizza commercial, you could click the "buy now" button, and your order would be sent to your nearest pizza delivery place.
