i doubt after watching him shoot below 40% in the Finals without Shaq. the Lakers will probably make it to the Finals only to lose to the Celtics again.

IF Bynum produces the same amount as he did before the injury, than yes, they probably will. But to me, I think all the Laker fans are putting too much on young Bynum. Their all expecting him to play the same and expecting him to carry the load that the team couldn't provide. Who knows, the Lakers have a good chance at winning the championship if Bynum stays healthy, or maybe he'll become an injury prone player and choke.

There's a chance if they get to the finals. Every other team has been trading and stocking up talents. Lakers will be tall in front line, but the speed will be down. Bynum also make it difficult to guard 3-point shooting and outside shooting big men. They used to use Odom to front outside shooting big men, but now Odom has to D up on smaller and faster small forwards. Lakers will face mismatches in those situations.

Besides that, Bynum was never proven in the playoff. Up to this date, Kwame Brown performed better than he in the past playoffs.

They still have to overcome a better Hornets, better Clips, better Blazers, better Rockets, and all others to get there. Remember, Spurs had a hard time with injuries and energy ( thanks to hornets). If they had played Denver and Utah last playoff, Lakers wouldn't even be in the finals.

I don't think we can assume Andrew Bynum is healthy.  Knee injuries are tricky and he has yet to show he can play on it.  But, even with Bynum at full strength I don't think he is enough to put the Lakers over the top.

I would be the favorites to come out of the West and maybe win the championship, but after climbing out of the Strong West, I don't think they can over come the Celtics.

I don't understand why Bynum is taking all that hype. Just because he posted 13ppg and 10reb per game before he got injured doesn't mean he will keep it up.
