The media and the left blamed Bush for Louisiana's failure to have a plan during Katrina. Will they give Bush credit for the incredibly well orchestrated handling of the situation during Gustav?

Bush got spanked for his incompetent handling of Katrina and he deserved it. They will give him credit for the handling of Gustav but will not over do it because he is trying to repair a sinking ship, his administration and his leagacy.

Bush will be given credit for the incredibly well orchestrated handling of the situation during Gustav if he deserves it. Nothing has happened yet, so we will wait and see if the planning is a success. Stars should be given for trying instead of attending the DNC.

No,it is an election year.They will line up to bash the president as much as they can.The credit will go to Nagin for all that was done.If they step back and think it was a team effort , all parties involved did what was necessary for the good of the people.Isn't that what elected officials are supposed to do?Help out in an emergency.It was a non PARTISAN effort.

If Bush had any actual leadership skills at all he would have had the courage to tell the people of New Orleans after Katrina hit that the American people were not going to throw good money after bad and rebuild a city that has a high probabilty of being hit again and again by major hurricanes and that it was time to relocate NO to a higher and safer place.

The media and the left and the right and the centre quite rightly blamed Bush for the FEDERAL emergency in 2005.

They will say, should the emergency management go well, that Bush did well...and he did well because he didn't want to be seen to be neglecting his own citizens as he did in the aftermath of Katrina.
