Will the NHL expand in the next several years? What cities will the NHL expand to?

I know Vegas wants a team as well as KC and Quebec and Winnipeg. Now maybe Seattle too?

If anything I would say a move of a team is more likely - or - at least what would make the fans more happy.

I agree with the previous two posts that the NHL should not expand, but just relocate two teams which are not selling many  tickets. If they were to add two teams I think Kansas City and Winnipeg are where the teams should be. Kansas City has great sports fans and I believe the NHL should never have left Winnipeg in the first place.

I think one way or another, Mr. Ballsile will get his team in Hamilton or the London area sooner or later. He just has so so much money and he is willing to spend it on a hockey team.

Much talk in the media with the big hockey analysts is about weather or not expanding into europe is a viable possibility. However i doubt this will happen in the near future and i think if anything relocation to winnipeg may happen within the next 5 years or so. Hamilton will never get a team due to T.O and Buf

The Euro talk is more of a ten year plan type talk. The near future will see Las Vegas and most likely Kansas City. LITY has answered many times, the owners will not approve relocation as there is no money for them in it. An expansion team though means money for all of them. As someone pointed out TML and Buffalo would not allow a team in Hamilton.

I like the idea of Winnipeg getting a team.  Attendance would be good in Vegas.  One other area to consider are Madison, Wisconsin.  They sell out their college hockey games consistently over 16,000 fans I believe.  Plus being from Minnesota it would be great to add the Wisconsin rivalry to the NHL.

i've heard they might expand to kc, seatle, & vegas..i dont know what teams they would end up moving, but it would probably be teams that aren't good but you just never know.

Vegas doesn't "want" a team. The NHL and Jerry Bruckheimer and his loaded carpetbagger pockets want to put a team here to give the tourists a new novelty act, because that is all it will be. The seats will be sold, but you will never see anyone sitting in them unless they are a comp for sitting through a timeshare sales pitch.
