  1. You guys trip me out. The SEC has 4 very strong teams, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, and Florida, but all have glaring weaknesses, and you think they can beat everyone in the world? You probably think they have a shot at the dolphins. Come on. Georgia had trouble with Vandy last year, and got smoked by Tennessee. You can talk about how great the SEC is top to bottom, but Vandy still sucks. LSU lost an NFL team to the draft, and has 0 QBs. Auburn is dirty and wont get past WVU, and Florida, well let's just say their defense is suspect. USC is 3-0 vs the sec the last 3 times they played, none were close games, and 2 of the victories were over division winners. The reason Auburn got left out of the championship in 04 is because USC smoked them the season before 23-0, and USC might be able to compete? Give me a break. Those 4 teams I mentioned are capable of beating anyone in the country, but they are all capable of losing to less than spectacular teams.(LSU lost to Kentucky and Arkansas last season, one got smoked in their bowl game, and the other beat a team that suspended 30 players by a whopping 7 points) For a variety of reasons, OSU doesn't play well against the SEC, but the rest of the big ten has a winning record. Michigan, which is 1-5 against Tressell is 7-1 their last 8 times playing against the SEC. Wisconsin is 2-1 the last 3 seasons. USC owns the SEC in recent history. The simple fact is, if it wasn't for OSU, no one would care about the SEC, except the south east. So to answer your question, no, there is no one strong enough in the SEC to make it through a very tough SEC with only 1 loss or less. The championship game will probably be USC/OSU winner, if OSU wins, it might be Wisconsin, and WVU. If one of those teams stumble, it will be someone from the big 12. The only chance the SEC has is if this season is like last, with all the top teams losing to scrubs(Oklahoma to 6-6 Colorado, WVU to 4-8 Pitt, Georgia to 6-6 USC, LSU to Kentucky and arkansas, USC to Stanford, and the list goes on)

So, if the champion comes from somewhere other than the SEC, they will most likely deserve it.(Unless it's BYU).

  2. Yes Unfortunately Georgia will be National Champions This Year

  3. h**l yes! Haha, the Gators are ranked 6th in the pre-season poll I believe, and are being a bit underlooked because of Georgia. Georgia won't finish #1 and Florida won't finish #6, we'll just have to wait and see where they do finish. LSU certainly has another shot, but not in all likelyhood.

  4. h**l no!

  5. Yeah. the SEC is the only conference that REALISTICALLY has 4 NC contenders (Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia). I also believe that any one of those 4 teams can defeat any team in any OTHER conference.

if the SEC dosent claim another national title, then the champ will not truly be the strongest team in the country.

  6. Whoever wins the georgia v. auburn SEC title game will win the national championship. Yup, heard it here 1st

  7. As long as that killer conference schedule doesn't interfere...then most likely yes...I totally believe that Georgia, or Florida could demolish any team in any other conference. The only team that can put up a fight against them is USC.

It's still too early to make any predictions...
