  1. the giant strength last year was the the defence linemen  and this without osi and strahan it will be a weakness

    6-10

  2. I think they will have a winning season and a playoff win. They have looked good so far, the loss of OSI is bad bad news, but if Strahan comes back to fill the void, 10-6 or better.

  3. I think they might.

But with their injuries, and their tough divison, they will struggle to be much better then 9-7. I still they think they are a tad better then both the Eagles and Skins..but not the Cowboys.

Bane, your predictions stink. You have then beating Dallas and losing to Arizona. Does that make sense? Reverse those two and you might be somewhat ok.

  4. Yes They Will hate to admit this cause Im a Cowboy Fan. With the ofense they have and if Eli Manning is the same person from the Playoffs and on to Super Bowl XLII. As Long as Brandon Jacobs produces on the ground and the defense steps up with Osi Umenioura

out for the year yea they'll go i'd say 11-5, or 10-6

  5. I'm betting they will.  Don't think a repeat is in the cards, but I would not be surprised if the Giants ended up back in the playoffs to defend their Super Bowl title.

  6. I predict:

    Washington: Win

    at St.Louis: Win

    Cincinatti: Win

    Seattle: Lose

at Cleveland: Lose (unless Browns stay unhealthy, then Win)

    San Francisco: Win

    at Pittsburgh: Lose

    Dallas: Win

    at Philadelphia: Lose

    Baltimore: Win

    at Arizona: Lose

    at Washington: Win

    Philadelphia: Win

    at Dallas: Lose

    Carolina: Win

    Minnesota: Lose

So 9-7 roughly.   The Seattle and Arizona were my upset picks but they could certainly win those and put them at 11-5.  Eagles have injuries again and they're at 12-4.  So they'll do well either way.

I think they'll sweep the skins, and split with Dallas and Philadelpia in the division.   Putting them at  4-2 within division games which isn't bad.

They maybe able to get in as a 2nd wild card at the least and possibly win the division.  I think this year Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys will all his playoffs and Skins will be odd man out. (so both WC's will come from NFC East)

Iceman: Learn to read.  I have them splitting with Dallas and as stated Arizona is an upset pick.  The Cards have alot of offense at their hands and are usually underestimated.

  7. Absolutely they'll have a winning season 9-7. No playoffs.

  8. Yes-I'm guessing 9-7

  9. Of course they will have a winning season.  It will be 9-7 at worst or 11-5 at best.

My guess is that they will beat DET in the final week to clinch a playoff spot.

  10. I think they'll break even 8-8.

Sorry, its hard to repeat a fluke twice in a row. No Lombardi this year.

  11. Winning Season? Sure

Defending Superbowl Champs? Not a chance

  12. Hey, as long as they can figure out a way to play ALL of their games away from home this year, then they're shoo-ins for the Championship.

  13. Please don't listen to those fools on BSPN, Fox, NFL.com, etc.  Before Osi was hurt, they were picking the Jints to be in the bottom 2 of their own division.  They also show they know nothing when talking about Tuck, Ross, and Kiwanuka.  They still can't even pronounce his name correctly.

Yeah, the Cowpies look great on paper.  Problem is they have 53 separate egos, no team or team spirit.  They may win the first one with the Giants while we get our defense in shape, but they lose the second.  Patrick Crayton's mouth may have cost them the playoff game last year with his trashtalk of the Jints, and it may cost them some more this year too.

I say the Jints will be a little like last year to start.  We have some injuries and we've lost some depth at DE and linebacker.  So while I was hoping for a 13-3 to put the nay-sayers to rest once and for all about this SIX GAME "FLUKE" (yeah, right) from last year, I still see them pulling a winning season and a playoffs spot.

Last year they went 10-6.  I say they repeat that or better this year.

While they are the current champs, it irritates the team as much this year as during last year's run that noone is picking them to even win their division.  It is this lack of respect that fueled them last year and will fuel them this year.  They all know about this "fluke" garbage and have articles pinned in the locker room to fire them up about it.

So, no, they aren't complacent champs.  They are still hungry warriors.

PS. Arizona in an upset?   I don't think so.

  14. no they wont 7-9 record and missing the playoffs its not the same, team as last yr

  15. In the past, not to many Reigning Super Bowl champs have gone out the next season with a winning one, but I like Eli Manning and Plexico Buress even though im a Redskins fan, who their playing Thursday night for the season opener, so I think they will have a winning season like 9-7, maybe even go to the playoffs as a wildcard, we'll see.

    Go Skins!

  16. History says yes.  Most superbowl champions make the playoffs the next season.

Without Strahan and Umenyiora though, I think they'll go against history and finish at 8-8 and out of the playoffs.  The Giants D-line was the biggest reason that the Giants were able to beat opponents last year.  Opposing offenses simply couldn't run their plays with Strahan and Umenyiora constantly in the backfield play after play.

The Giants losing both DEs from last year's defense is going to be like if the Patriots lost Randy Moss AND Wes Welker from their offense - they aren't going to be the same team without those guys in '08.

  17. no way

  18. Giants FLOP 6-10.
