  1. well since they suspended operations for the 06-07 season, I doubt they'll be around again.

  2. Unfortunately the Sens until recently have had their own financial dire straits, which means bailing out the renegades would be pretty unlikely.  Moving to Halifax also seems like it wouldn't be a good idea, since they have a much smaller population than Ottawa and probably wouldn't have the base to support a team (remember in the 80's when there were quite a few AHL hockey teams in eastern Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces?  The fan base just couldn't keep up with the more Western Canadian and American cities, then the IHL implosion practically sealed their fates).  What the Renegades need is someone (or a group of people) who has a good football mind from a business perspective, patience to build the team up to playoff caliber over a few years (and the money to do it), and good PR skills to get fans interested in the game and in the seats.

  3. Hopefully someone does buy the team and get them back in action for next season. It will get the league back on the right track

  4. How can anyone buy the team? The dispersal draft is today. It's doubtful the CFL will go back to Ottawa again. It's more likely to go to Halifax, maybe 2007 or 2008.

  5. Yes of course they will, you think the CFL will relocate them to Halifax?? Think of all that extra travel expense, what with the price of gas and all. They'll sit out a year that guy who owns the Senators will bail them out, and turn them into winners again.
