  1. They will be better this year for sure.  Distractions are gone and they can still score a lot of goals.  They wont be a top seed but could make it to the second round if they dont have to play a team like the Pens or Montreal in the first round.

  2. They will do better but not that much better.

  3. They will do as good as each of the 4 times they faced the leafs in the playoffs.

  4. They're in the same division as the Maple Leafs, so that's a few wins in their pocket.  Other than that, it doesn't look too good for Ottawa.

  5. Yes we will. We got rid of Emery and got guys with good attitudes like Auld and Ruutu.

We also have one of the best leaders, Jason Smith. He is a warrior and has a lot of heart.

  6. They won't be improved enough to make a difference.

  7. They won't start better, hopefully they will finish better.

On  Paper they are not as good as the team that started last year but they may be a better "team"

Smith will help in the room, the room issues have to be resolved, if they are not unified as a team they are doomed to repeat last years meltdown.

I think the D is suspect, not much offense back there with Redden and Corvo gone.

Secondary scoring is still an issue as after the first line it is slim pickings.  You say they have the best forwards, no they may have the best 3 forwards but they don't have the best 3 lines by a long shot.

I expect them to finish somewhere between 6-8 spot in the east.

  8. Well, with Emery gone hopefully they can put themselves back together as a team.  If they do then they will play much better.

  9. I doubt it. They didn't do anything to improve their team! Jason Smith is alright, but he's not the difference between winning and losing. I really don't like their goalie situation. Wade Redden is gone. And nothing has happened to address the locker room problems that unraveled them last year. Heatley and Alfredsson are great, but they can't do it all themselves. The Sens better pull off a monster trade, or they'll be lucky to make the playoffs. Everyone else is getting better. It is beginning to look like they missed their window of opportunity, but things can change in a hurry, so who knows?
