  1. Ummmm, NO.... Montreal will.

    DUH!

I surely think that their fans will generate alot of energy for them. Its how they use that energy that determies where the outcome goes! If they use it and get overly Excited and take penalties, not good! If they channel it to sustain a rythym and skate with the Wings, then they have a chance. I truly believe that PITT has to score first tonight. IT IS A MUST! Or they will be chasing the Wings again and creating Wing opportunities and the end result is a loss! Its all up to them. The Wings have NO pressure on them for this game. PITT does!

  2. Whatever happens on Monday night in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup finals at Joe Louis Arena, the Pittsburgh Penguins will be happy to head home for a couple against the Detroit Red Wings.

The Pens are a perfect 8-0 during the playoffs at Mellon Arena. They also won their last eight regular-season games at home. The last time Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury lost in the building that Jean-Claude Van Damme saved was in November.

When it comes to hockey, it's more than just loud fans and a comfy bed that makes for home-ice advantage. One of the most overlooked benefits is the last change, which means Pittsburgh coach Michel Therrien will be able to send the players he wants over the boards to try and subdue the Red Wings' dangerous combo of Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk.

More importantly, perhaps, Therrien can wait and see when's the best time to put his own superstars, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, on the ice. Remember that Zetterberg and Datsyuk are both up for the Selke Trophy as the NHL's best defensive forwards.

"They're a good hockey team," Crosby said after Detroit's 4-0 victory in Game 1. "I don't think we came here expecting an easy series. For sure, they play a tight-checking game, but that's playoff hockey."

  3. You're one of those outdated lightbulbs aren't you?

  4. No, the Wings have already won 2 games at home and despite how many games are played, the Wings will always end up with the home ice advantage.  Games 1, 2, 5, & 7 are played in Detroit where only games 3, 4, & 6 are played in Pittsburgh.

  5. the penguins are done! Red Wings have it in the bag! Hope you didn't buy tickets to Game 5, cause there ain't gonna be one!

  6. It will help, but the Wings are just playing out of their minds phenomenal.

  7. I think any team when they are home is going to get some sorta spark under their belts, but all in all The Wings have the team and they are great under pressure its obviously over if they win tonight.
