Right now, the Phillipines don't have any fighters in service and aren't expecting to purchase any before 2011. This would allow them to have active squadrons sometime in 2012. It's inlikely that they'll be purchasing F-15s, but they are considering the F-16C, JAS-39 Gripen, and possibly the F/A-18. It's also possible that they might consider upgraded MiG-29s or Su-27s. Considering the fact that F-16s and F/A-18s are going to be a little outdated by 2012, the likely aircraft will be the JAS-39 or another foreign equivalent like the Rafale or MiG-29M.
