Question:

Will the Rays win their division?

I really don't think they will. I think Boston will get em in the end. And this is coming from a guy who is a Rays fan and lived in that area for years. I used to go to the Trop and watch games for $6 all the time. And $6 got you a pretty good seat at the Trop! Nobody in St. Petersburg (where they play- they DO NOT play in Tampa no matter what certain ignorant national baseball commentators would have you believe) would attend the games unless the fast food place called Checkers was giving out free tickets with the purchase of a value meal. I am rooting for them to get to the playoffs whatever way they can though. Their schedule for the rest of the season is pretty favorable because they have a decent number of home games coming up. But if Longoria and Crawford don't have a speedy recovery, they could be in trouble.

  1. I don't know, I'm a Jays fan. I don't know if Tampa can do it, but I've said this all year and they keep on proving me wrong. They've got a solid lead in the division and I think it could come down to the last week of the year. In the end I think the Rays will take the East. If someone predicted this ahppening at teh beginning of the year, I would've laughed. Btw, how many fans are u drawing down there in Tampa? I hear they are still drawing like 15-20 thousand a game which is pathetic for a team in first place at this point in the year. The Jays who are now 8 games out drew 40, 44, and 45 thousand this weekend. I don't understand why Tampa or the Marlins get such small crowds. In the end this is how it will look

    Tampa- 95-67

    Boston- 93-69

    Toronto- 87-75

    New York- 85-77

    Baltimore- 78-84

Arguably the strongest division in the league.
