Will the Republicans try even harder to derail Amtrak?

Now that Biden is going to be Vice President and his son sits on Amtraks Board?

it doesnt matter which party is in charge, the government is in charge of Amtrak and will always be, the other railroads in the United States gave up passenger service in 1971 when Amtrak was created. If anyone derails Amtrak it will be the p**s-poor funding they receive from the government and lack of help from them as well.

First of all Biden is not going to be anything except Obama's B***ch.  Second the republicans do not hate the middle class the biggest tax cuts on the mid class has been during the reign of the rep party.  and last but not least if Amtrak were run  by a private company it would so efficient.  But then wait no private company would kep a money losing route or routes like many of the Amtrak runs.  This goes to show that the Gov does not know how to run a business that is profitable or at least not a loser.  Amtrak s just an example of welfare with locomotives and railcars.  I dont know what it would take to make passenger service profitable but I bet here are some smart folks out there than could figure out a way.  One is maybe piggybacking the passenger part of the trains on the rear of the fast frieghts suh as the intermodal trians or such who knows.

But I don't know about Biden's son.  Just  because he sits on Amtrak's board doesn't mean he supports Amtrak.  Maybe he was appointed there in order to derail it.

I wouldnt be surprised but there are a whole lot of variables in your equation.

It is entirely possaible unless their constituents let them know loud and clear that we need more, not less options for safe, reliable and clean public transport.
