  1. If consumer camcorders provided "Hollywood quality video", there would be no need for the folks making big-screen films to use the equipment they use... like

And they use stuff that is a bit more than Adobe After Effects... Certain productions use custom editing applications that consumers can't get.

So... please try to be a bit more realistic...

The "cinematic feel" can be accomplished with a couple of consumer camcorders... They have the option of shooting in 24p (rather than 30 frames per second).

Specifically, the Canon HV20 and HV30.

Video is only a portion of the equation. Audio, lighting, sound design, makeup, wardrobe, and lots more goes into making a decent production. A good script is helpful. And a LOT of patience, hard work, planning and project management.

After practicing a scene, then shoot it. Again. And again. And again. And just when you think you have the right shot, shoot it a few more times before you move to the next scene.

And yes, the Canon HV20 and HV30 camcorders can provide video to be edited by any video editing application that can handle DV or HDV (depending on the format you shoot in) video. Do your homework to see if the editor can handle 24p... some can't.
