Will the Tampa Bay Rays suffer because of injuries to Longoria and Crawford?

I'd say that they won't suffer in the short term. They'll find ways to win ballgames by getting creative. And Aybar does a pretty good job at filling in right now. But I don't think they can sustain it. They need those stars back if they are going to win that division. Things are really going to heat up in that division race between them and Boston. It'll be very close. Mark my word.

  1. I think the Rays won't score as much runs as they use to, but they'll still be good.

  2. They are something like 9-3 since they went on the DL.  So, not so far anyways.  Everyone on that team contributes and has stepped up all year.

  3. It's obvious that a team will suffer if their star players get injured. However, they are not nearly as bad as you might think. It may not be that close. Pena has heated up, and so has Baldelli. they are basically filling in the void. But it will be hard for them to keep up. Wheeler and Kazmir have to step their games up in order for them to run away with the title. Wheeler has been great but not Kazmir. If Pena, Baldelli, Wheeler, and Kazmir all do good, they will have an easy track to victory.

  4. They've been doing pretty well lately stopping the bleeding but I agree I don't think they will be quite as successful in the Playoffs without at least one of them back. Rumor has it Longoria could be back sooner than later so I think things will work out fine for them.

  5. It's a possibility it could happen.

  6. i think the rays will still be first in their division when the season comes to an end. They just beat the angles twice. angles are the best team in baseball and the rays still found a way to win without longo and crawford. i think boston will be a contender with the rays but with schilling, colon, wakefield hurt its going to be tough. i also think the rays will lose in the playoffs under the pressure, they dont have enough expierance. if boston wins the wild card watch out, they have expierance in the postseason but i think with manny they wont win. Bay was the replacement for manny but nobody can replace that kind of tallent and clutch postseason performance. im taking the Cubs to win it all.

  7. well they're kicking our butts as of right now so i think their pitching is going to carry them until the guys come back. I agree its going to be close but i think the rays are gonna win it!!
