I think the 8 ball's "signs point to yes" would be the best answer.  The teams performance last season with lots of injured starters showed a real breakthrough.  Secondly is the coaching and bringing in the Yoda of the run game the "guru" Alex Gibbs.  His influence of Denver and Atlanta shows what he is capable of teaching.  His once student now head coach Kubiak got a call after the short lived retirement try by Gibbs to make his wife happy.  Kubiak was no dummy and signed him up at once especially with Houston's run game fiasco.  This addition, the putting together of the skills at QB and everywhere else leads one to think 10-6 is doable and that is what Superbowl champions Giants had achieved at the end of regular season.

So all signs point to yes.

Their pre-season hasnt been the best, and they do need a better RB.

No, they are in too tough of a division. theyre in a tough fight for 3rd in the division.

AFC South is tough..

Indy will be there, Jax and Ten will scrap for 2nd and Houston will go 10-6/9-7. but will miss the playoffs because of their division record.

If Houston played in the NFC South they would have a real shot.
