Will the UN move to Iceland?

Question

The UN has named Iceland as the Number One best country to live in (the US is #12) The UN has also been complaining that their currant headquarter building in NY is unsuitable and want us to build them a new one.

So given that Iceland is the most desirable place on the planet to live (and the US is only #12). Should we build their new headquarters in Iceland? I'm only considering their best interest after all.

They certainly have my blessing but they can fork out their own moolah for a new building.  I hear Igloos are cheap.

It could be possible, but I doubt that they will move.  There is no financial or business center anywhere in Iceland.  New York is a social, economic, financial, and business hub for the Eastern United States and is one of the largest cities in the world.  Even though Iceland may be the Number One country to live it, it doesnt necessarily mean that it has the infrastructure or ability to house the HQ of the United Nations.  What will more than likely happen is that the current HQ in New York will be renovated to make the changes that are necessary.

I dont think we should build their HQ, the UN should build their HQ.  I think the US should wash its hands of the U.N.

sounds like a good idea-  if they held their meetings in those sweet-a$$ hot springs, maybe there would be less tension between leaders and we might not have so many pointless wars.  lots of good music in iceland, too-   speaking of which, does anyone know where i can download some Purrkur Pillnikk albums?

Why should WE build them anything?  We support the d**n organization anyhow.  They need to get out of NY and let it be a place for the homeless and fast food restaurants where you can smoke and purchase trans fat fries and cold beer!
