I have been told that I would have to fix them BEFORE I enlist due to them being a pre-existing condition.

  1. Bad teeth?  Yes.  Hairy armpits?  No.

  2. go to MEPS if they take you... You made it if not they will tell you what to do they may even refer you to a good dentist to get them fix cheap.... What ever you do try it.

  3. You just have to possess enough natural teeth to eat your food and be understood when you speak. Source below is the medical standard.

  4. The army will take you with bad teeth.  How much work they will do on them is another question which I will try to answer because I had bad teeth during Viet Nam.  They first will make you floss, rinse and brush your teeth for a matter of time until they can see all the problems.  They will also x-ray your teeth and fill any cavities.  This they will do for all soldiers.  During war time, further work may have to wait since they have to take care of all the soldiers being deployed.  I found that the army did all they could to take care of the troops.  Yes, there were exceptions.  Be patient.

Thank you in advance for serving.

  5. they only take people who are strong and are rookies

  6. If you can pass the tests they probably will, then they will fix your teeth.  Get it done if you can.  You will be glad you did.

  7. Your answer will lay with the MEPS people. in twenty years of service, i've not heard of anyone being denied due to thier Smile (Teeth ) Best of luck on your service !!

  8. My recuriter had GNARLY teeth. You will be sent to MEPS and from there the military docs will decide what to do from there. If your teeth are not causing you any health issues or pain, there probably won't be a problem.

  9. It will depend on what the doctor says at mepps depending on how bad they are.

  10. Yes! after you get your teeth fixed! bad teeth can be a disqualifier!

  11. Honestly, I had a Soldier that joined just so he could get his teeth fixed rather than spend 15K on paying for it himself.  Does this answer your question?

  12. They will most likely take you, but you should be notified at MEPS. Your best option is to talk to your requiter.

  13. you can have bad teeth..the army will fix them for you ...my husband went in with bad teeth and they'er fixing his

  14. i dont know. i doubt teeth matter.

i want to thank you for enlisting. you are brave and it takes people like you to keep america free. so thank you.

  15. Depends how you define bad. Crooked, some cavaties and plaque, sure. Gingivitis or needing a bunch of crowns, maybe not. They will pull your wisdom teeth.
