  1. Of course. That just like saying, will a household be better off if they stopped wasting money every night on leisure activities? Yes. Money is being wasted over seas, trying to improve their quality of life, while diminishing ours. Very little money is put into our infrastructure and, as a result, our economy is performing like a piece of shat. Look at China on the other hand, they're investing their money into their infrastructure, and what do you know, their economy is on the rise.

Yeah, I'm sure after the great depression and previous recessions, people were saying the economy will never be the same. I feel the economy will be better off once everybody stops being so d**n selfish and once the United States has legit citizens in office.

  2. In a way yes.  Economically speaking, it would help.  We would be spending much less money.  So, we would have more money that we could cover with our revenue.  Currently we run at high deficit a large reason because of the Iraqi war.  So, leaving Iraq would cut down costs and decrease the deficit

However, in a big sense, leaving Iraq at this moment would be a bad idea.  iraq is not stable nor secure enough for us to leave.  Our military, along with the Iraqis, have made great improvements over the last couple of years.  We've done a lot and have had great advances.  Nonetheless, leaving is too risky because there are still many terrorists running around.  Violence is still there.  Political reconciliation is still not at where it should be if we are to leave and not have any political or problems with violence (major one).  We have to train more Iraqi soldiers and police.  We must also work on other solutions for Iraq too- including continuing to help them rebuild and strengthen them.  We also must help different groups put aside their differences and really work on diplomacy between different parts of Iraq, especially the different ethnic groups.

If we leave now, terrorists will take over Iraq.  Then Iran, Syria, Turkey, and maybe other nations will try to take control.  Things would be bad.  Gas prices may go up.  This is because there'd be instability and the oil Iraq has would be threatened.  So, gas and oil prices would increase.  Thus it isn't good to leave for some economic (although other economic reasons it is good to leave but overall No) reasons and for security as well as regional relations reasons.

  3. well lemme tell you a real fact: we spend 1billion a month for the war.

think about that for a second... and how long have we been in the war already???

yup the war is the start to a better economy... seriously

  4. well we are spending a lot of money in that war.

so in all likelihood yes, because we could put that money into something else

  5. Possibly, but the damage has already been done. I assume the U.S. will never be the same again.

  6. No, because I don't think that it will affect our economy that much.  The war isn't really related to why we are in the situation we are with the economy right now.  I think alot more of it has to do with jobs going overseas and people buying houses and other items that they can't really afford on their income.
