It *is* potentially the game to win the Stanley Cup, after all.

  1. If they don't they will lose many viewers.  I am sure many hockey fans would consider boycotting all non hockey related programming if they cut away from the game.

  2. NBC was praying Crosby wasn't hit by Gill's howitzer because then they'd show him in the er, though actually maybe they wanted that so they could show Nothin But Crosby focusing on him, because that'd be good advertising for the Nothin But Crosby network

  3. I hope so, otherwise I'm writing NBC and never watching them ever again!

  4. i hope so if they don't i will be mad

  5. if NBC doesnt ill riot

  6. Even tho I'm in Canada I would go nuts it they cut off the game

    (They probably wont)

  7. Yes. There are no horses scheduled for interviews tonight.

EDIT: I do expect them to cut away from the celebration a little quicker than we like though.

  8. They dammned well better---- 'cuz its a loooong time till mid September....

  9. I see NO reason why they shouldn't.

It's only local news, then Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, and the rest of the late-night shows (at least here on WNBC in the New York market).  NBC will run with it as long as it takes.  They know they'll be ripped in the media if they don't.

EDIT: bigwheel, I'm up for that.  Really, I have little use for NBC.  Most of what I watch is on other channels.

  10. they should carry it over...if they would carry over the Superbowl they should carry over the Stanley cup b/c someone can potentially win tonight like you said

  11. Do they normally??

CBC hockey night in canada will..(i hope)

  12. If they don't, I'm going to, dare I say, break stuff.

(Limp Bizkit reference, by the way!)

  13. They won't leave till its over
