Will the USA Basketball Team win the gold?

What do u think will happen? Will they have another disappointing summer? or will they get the gold? if so, who will be the teams MVP?

I think it would be a BIG upset if they lost. Look at them they're stacked. The MVP will probably be Kobe or Lebron even though i don't like kobe he just has the name

Yes because of the following reasons.

1. Defense

- Kobe is the best perimeter defender

- Howard will take care of the paint

- Prince will do the intangibles and hustle

2. Offense

- Redd 3 point shooting

- Boozer/Howard inside

- Lebron/Wade/Kobe/Anthony - Too much

- Kidd/Williams/C3P - Team direction

if they let go of the "Superstar" attitude they could. I mean, they got the best talent, hands-down, all they need now is better teamwork (thats improving).

but im wondering, why does Kobe need to hold the ball for ages, dribble around the court when they're in a halfcourt set. (not hating on Kobe, he's the man)

and Coach K is the coach, yet it looks like they're using D'Antoni's run and gun system.

from watchin the first two games they havent displayed consistent defence. even giving up uncontested layups because of miscommunication. against teams like spain,greece,and argentina. they wil have to fix this. their offence is too reliant on other teams making mistakes leading to fast break . the better teams are sure to be careful with the ball. if usa can improve their half court offence  and defence they will definatly win the gold
