Will the UVB light be enough for my reptiles?

i made a 6 foot tank that i split into 2 tanks for my reptiles is it alright if i just use one 30 inch UVB light in the middle. will it be enough for my bearded dragon and my uromastyx?

also if the tank is 29inches high will my reptiles get enough UVB that they need?

  1. They should be able to get enough UVB, but what you're going to want to do is get a 10.0 UVB bulb b/c of the height. Also just give them something that they can climb on to get close to the UVB if needed. Sounds very spacious for a dragon and a uro. They must be pretty happy.

These are manufacturer questions which you should be able to resolve by reading the box which the light arrived in; or in most cases - calling a free 800 number; or accessing online information from the manufacturer.  Placement from the animal depends on the type of UVB tube bulb you are using.

    As for giving each enclosure 15" of tube - it again depends on how close the animal has to be to the light, and if you've arranged an area outside of the range, where the the light becomes useless.

    I hope you've done your homework, and are also adding D3 to your reptiles' diet.
