Will the Wamu Platinum Visa FICO score update bring my credit score down a couple points every month???

I just got this Wamu Visa Platinum credit card and it says I have free access to my FICO credit score...but from what I remember, every time you run your credit.....it does down!!!

So is it even worth it for the account to keep checking my score every month????

First off, that's a good card!  Hope you got a good APR

Anyhow, no, don't worry, on your credit report, there are different types of inquires...I don't know what they are called (I forgot) so, it will go on your credit report, but will be in a different section, it will be an inquiry that you DID NOT initiate...therefore, your FICO score does not go down!

If you need information, just call WaMu...

Only hard inquiries (when you fill out a credit application) ding your score.  Soft inquiries have no affect.

Why would you need to check your score every month?  If you pay all your bills on time, review your credit report periodically for errors, your score will take care of itself.
