Will they just make it, just miss it,make it by a lot,or miss a by a lot? I think they will just make it. The red sox trading manny is a huge plus for them when they face boston because he killed yankee pitching and boston isnt as good without him.I think they will win the wild card by like 2 games.

  1. No the Red Sox will win the AL East and the Rays will be the wild card

my reason for saying this is Because that do not have a person in the bullpen right now who can be the 8th inning guy before Rivera.

  2. I think the Yankees will get to the playoffs. I'm sure they'll pas the Sox in the AL East. I also suspect the Rays are posed for a meltdown.

  3. My guess of the final standings:

    Red Sox    0.0

    Yankees    1.0

    Rays         3.0

    BlueJays   over 10 back

    Orioles      over 20 back

  4. No, the Rays will.

  5. Wouldn't it be nice if they didn't.  The only thing better than seeing the Yankees lose another playoff series is to know their not in the playoffs.

  6. it is a very hard decision but after the all star break, things were just starting to go the yankees way. then the 3 game losing streak came, but they bounced back. you should never count this team out. but the game yesterday i think gave the yankees a lot of momentum, trailing 5-0 and then coming back to win with the help of xavier nady. they will probably make the playoffs as a wild card team just barely beating boston in the last series of the regular season.  rays are running away with the division every day, and i dont think boston will be able to catch up with them after trading their best hitter.

  7. Maybe now that they have Ivan (Pudge) Rodriguez...

  8. I never count this club out.

I think this Angels series will determine how well they finish the season. (so far, not so good, getting spanked last night).

Boston losing Manny, are you kidding?  They are without Schilling the whole year, lose Ortiz for a while, and still continue to win.  This team is too good to let losing one player stop them. It will change the pitching strategy for other teams, not having to worry about the 3-4 batting slot.  Although they haven't played their best recently, they are still a great all around team.

By the way, I am a Yankees fan, but am mature enough to know a good team when I see it.  I hate it when people say, this person sux, and that team sux, when in fact they don't.  Recognize good playing when it's there.  I love my Yankees, but I love Baseball more.
