Will the air force reject my application?

i want to join the air force, however i am asthmatic and i know it will be a problem. My asthma is really mild, I've never had an asthma attack and Its triggered by certain allergens. Will they still deny my enrollment?

  2. I recently went through AF physical. The way they explained it, if you have to use inhaler, you will most likely not be able to join. If your asthma is caused by certain allergens, they will have you list all the things you allergic to. I believe they are only concerned if you re allergic to bee stings, medications, and food..

    Previously, any history of asthma was disqualifying, regardless of age. While medical waivers were sometimes possible, waiver approval usually required scheduling and passing a pulmonary function test. Under the new policy, Asthma is only disqualifying if it occurs after the applicant’s 13th birthday.
