  1. Maybe.  I haven't read of any definites yet.

Wouldn't it be more fair to charge for passenger+total luggage weight +how much hand-holding a customer needs?  Would a 100lb person with 60lbs total hand luggage+hold luggage who spends 15 minutes on phone reservations cost the airline more than a 150lb person with 10lb carry-on only and did their own internet booking?  Should customers choose only airlines which fly more fuel-efficient aircraft with higher load factors and effective carbon offsetting schemes?  Passenger weight is only 1 variable in these complex equations.

  2. Yes, they soon will do this. I have heard airline and aviation experts on FOX Business News, saying that it will start soon this fall or early next year. And, I personally, don't think it is ridiculous, because I don't want the fat person next to me have his/her skin flowing into my seat. And, it would tell many Americans that they are fat and need to loose weight. Which, is good since we are an extremely overweight country.

  3. Not likely. . .that would be a major discrimination lawsuit looking for a place to happen!!  However, they will charge you now for each bag you check onto the plane.  I had to pay $15.00 per suitcase last time I flew.

  4. I don't doubt it

  5. There are two answers to this question... the real one and the one that everyone thinks. The one that everyone would think is yes because they are starting to find ways to charge for anything and everything. The real answer is no because of discrimination and possible lawsuites.

  6. Any excuse to gouge you more

Here we cheat the other guy and pass the savings on to you.

  7. highly unlikely. they would lose more in lawsuits than they would make of it.  i wish they would though so i could sue them and get millions and never have to work again.  [:

  8. no its silly

  9. they will make a lot of money if they start to do that. I think some companies charge extra large people for 2 seats already. And indeed why not? They can't fit in one seat anyway...

  10. who knows, maybe they will start charging you for using the lavatory and breathing the air in the cabin
