Question:

Will the airport security confiscate my razor for shaving?

I've already gotten hair products/contact solution/lotions/shampoo/etc. taken away at the security lines because they were too big and they weren't "see-through." I've fixed this problem! :)

But now I'm worried that they'll take away my shaving razor. They wouldn't take it away if I put it on a bag for the cargo area, but I'm only taking carry-on bags. Will they let me bring it with me onto the plane?

  1. According to the TSA, you're fine taking a razor on board.

I take mine all the time in my carry-on (40+ trips through security a year) and I've never had an issue.

    Good luck!

  2. most likely... i just got back from australia and southeast asia and i got nail clipping scissors through every flight with no problem. did get my calomine lotion taken away though >=[

  3. TSA has changed its rules to allow razors for shaving.

It would be quite hard to make a weapon out of a lady bic
