  2. NOPE. Termites have one job to do, and that's recycle dead wood. They can turn celulose into sugar, providing food  for themselves.They've been around as long as cockroaches, and we can't get rid of them either.I read somewhere that if you weighed all the termites on the planet, they would outweigh all the humans. Scary stuff. They actually perform a very valuable service, recycling all that dead wood and leaf litter. It's just ugly when they try to recycle your house !.
