  1. I'm not exactly sure what you mean. But what I will say is that climate change is not anything to worry about. The media (especially alarmist media like Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth")  is simply trying to scare us into giving them money.  Earth's climate has always changed, even without humans.  There have been Ice Ages, and also Warm Periods (which brought about prosperity, not Apocalyptic calamities). I sincerely believe that humankind is not influencial enough to cause climate change, and now that it is happening, to stop it.

  2. Not really. They Kyoto Protocol I think has to be taken as a whole and not just the sum of its different parts.

One of the effects of global dimming is decreased evaporation, resulting in fewer/smaller clouds and a messed up hydrologic cycle.

Planting trees that should clean up the greenhouse gases would re invigorate the disrupted water cycle caused by global dimming. The atmospheric soot should be replaced by cleaner clouds from the respirating trees. These clouds should also help shield the earth from harmful rays and also help stabilize global temperature, not make it warmer.
