  1. Yeah, those policies are a big draw.

  2. Yes, because they think he's going to lower their taxes and give them free healthcare.

  3. i'm an average american, and i don't plan to vote for obama at all. not a chance in h**l.

  4. Average Susie here and Yes....I will vote for Obama.

  5. Obama will only tax people who make over 250,000 a year because they don't pay a proportionate amount of taxes today. 95% of working americans (middle class) will see a tax reduction.

Drilling will have NO affect on gas prices.  It is a gimmick...

  6. If the average American can read, do research and think on his own then no..they will not vote for Obama.

If the average American believes everything the press says and they do not think for themselves then yes..they will be voting for him.

    pretty scary huh!??

  7. NOPE!!!!

  8. Now that the major parties have chosen their candidates, people will start taking this election seriously.  Let’s hope voters demand clarity on each candidate’s positions instead of the usual gobbledygook that politicians serve up when they don’t like a question and don’t want to answer it.

Obama recently shifted his position on offshore oil drilling, but his new position is expressed in a confusing blur of words:  Ã¢Â€ÂœWe have to compromise in terms of a careful, well thought-out drilling strategy that was carefully circumscribed to avoid significant environmental damage.”

    Huh?

Most people know that offshore drilling is not a solution to high gas prices, but more oil can be part of an effort to restrain the increase in those prices.  Obama’s first choice for an energy policy was to develop “next generation biofuels.”  But there is nothing we can grow that will enable us to replace petroleum-based fuels.  We use nearly 400 million gallons of gasoline a day.  Until we find a way to harness hydrogen, that part of our oil “addiction” is not going away.

Obama’s tax proposals are misleading.  He talks about income taxes, both corporate and personal, and the capital gains tax.  But what about all the other taxes we pay?  These include sales taxes, excise taxes, Social Security and Medicare taxes, gasoline taxes, and hidden taxes (which include the “premiums” we will pay for Obama’s new healthcare plan).

Obama’s income tax proposal is nothing but a redistribution of wealth plan.  It is almost revenue neutral and will do nothing to reduce our deficits or the national debt.

How can Obama talk about energy independence and higher taxes on the “rich” in the same sentence?

Part of Obama’s energy plan calls for helping to “create five million new jobs by strategically investing $150 billion over the next ten years to catalyze private efforts to build a clean energy future.”

How can Obama say he will “catalyze private efforts to build a clean energy future” and then propose raising income taxes and capital gains taxes on the rich?  THE RICH are the ones who will have to fund the investments in clean energy technology that Obama plans to catalyze!

  9. the average american...no.  the portion of average americans who could be classified as EXTREMELY gullible...yes.

  10. Over 18 million already have!!

  11. No Americans are smarted than that.

  12. No, but this is another reason Palin is such a good choice. She has energy experience.
