back fire on the democrats?? Will Biden be the catalyst that will encourage conservatives to go to the polls in record numbers to vote for McCain??

Hillary Clinton would have been the catalyst to bring Conservatives to the polls.

If Mccain puts MItt on the ticket even more will stay off especially in the bible belt.

Obama picked Biden to bring the ticket closer to center. Biden was the only moderate running during the Democratic primary. Obama picked Biden to attract the swing voters.

Biden won't make that much of a difference at all.  Obama's candidacy alone is and will produce record numbers of conservatives to head to the voting booths.  We all know that the VP is merely selected with the hopes of producing more votes.  

Complacency won't exist this time around like it did two years ago.

Look at this way -- Joe Biden has disagreed with Obama on many issues, and has even publicly stated he doesn't think he's ready for the job (of President). Why would Obama choose him as a running mate?  Strategy or not, it shows a severe lack of judgement on Barack's part. I don't think the man is playing with a full deck....

Theyre gearing up for a landslide!!!  But probably not even a landslide will convince the elite of the DNC that America doesnt want their anti-American socialists.  Clinton was someone who had broad appeal because he appeared to be a moderate from the south.  People like Kerry, Biden, and his clean (although he smokes) atriculate black man Obama are ultra liberal and not even close to what the American public has in mind as a leader.

You must be joking.  I get the biggest laugh out of all the hyperbolic pronouncements on what conservatives will do.  Hillary was considered to the left of Mao Tse Tung until Obama passed her, and then conservative bloviators started treating her like the voice of reason.  Biden is just another politician.  Why conservative voters would care any more about him than anyone else on the Hill is a mystery to me.
