Will the contents of my aloe vera plant's leaves help to sooth and reduce the size of insect bites?

  1. I grow it for that purpose- works better than commercial preparations. I break the end off a leaf and apply it directly to the bite and leave it for a minute or so.

  3. yes its an increadable plant, it can be used to treat all sorts of things form skin problems to asthma, its also very good for sunburn

  4. Yes of course. Just snip off a stalk thing (i can never tell if they r fat leaves or stalks!) and then squeeze the sap onto the bite. Leave it there for as long as you like and wash off with warm clean water.

    You can also mix it with honey which does the same thing. Place the 'ointment' onto a cotton wool ball and use that to apply or fingers the same. If you use cotton wool you can leave it on there by taping it on. Make sure to wash with warm water and massage it off.
