No the Wings are going to smoother everything next year first round and out for the Stars. Which stinks I like Modano I would like to see him go far. Not quite as far as the Wings

i'm not a stars fan, but i predict they will be no. 1 in the west (i think a team in the east takes the Pres. Trophy next year)

Considering that they went the Conference Finals I feel if they make a few decent moves in the off-season they will have every opprotunity to be competitive again.

possibly, they had a nice run this year, but getting out the west finals just seems impossible now a days, and how bout those red wings... consistently competing every year, they might cause some problems, but yea if Dallas can make a few tweaks here and there and upgrade their roster with good talent they might be a legitimate contender

oh god i hope so i was 5 or 6 when they won their first and im hoping for the second they keep getting close and failing like in 2000 and last year but i think next year will be the year, the stars are picking up some (from what their backgrounds say) are very talented rookies that should take them to the cup. all they needed this year was just to have an extra player with the potential of morrow or richards but i think these guys we took from the draft can fill that place. my prediction the stars and wings for the cup next year.

I don't see why not...only problem is that the West is ultra-competitive.  They have to hope for a Wings Cup hangover first.  Anaheim will be tough too. A little more consistent scoring should be enough to push them over the top.

I am a Sharks season ticket holder. The Stars have been a strong organization for years. They have a strong defense, solid goaltending and enough offense to play with anyone. They are smart and have a great Captain in Morrow. They are not as good as Detroit. At this very moment no one is as good as the Wings. I assume the Satrs will tweak and change in an attempt to move forward to the next level. As an earlier poster has already stated teh Western Conference is digfficult and it seems to be even more so every season. The Stars are contenders but let's wait and see what they and the other teams do in the off-season to go that extra mile.
