Well none can say that...even though I have heard a few people talk abt it and they agree that it will be somewhere close to 2015.

Have u heard about these guys somewhere in Russia who beilieved that the sky would come falling and had hid themselves in some den for months ! I guess these guys in 2015 would do the same :)

But the rate at which we are consuming up natural resources, definitely the D day is not far !

erm, i think that question is very reduced to human psychology.  even with all the nukes it would be difficult to 'end' the mighty planet earth.

The world itself will be fine, but human civilization in the near future will be going through some rapid changes.  Mankind would be best to heed the warnings with all the climate change, resource problems and society being tested constantly.

Hi: According to the Mayan calendar, the world (or maybe the world as we know it) is supposed to come to an end on December 21, 2012. Throughout the millennia, people have prophesied the end of the world, and lucky for us they were wrong. In the 1st century AD, many early Christians predicted the world was coming to an end.

However, it is clear that we face more challenges than ever before. Many nations can get their hands on nuclear weapons. The climate is changing. The polar caps are disappearing. Then there is war in Iraq and terrorism.

My personal opinion is that in the near future, we will be facing great challenges and perhaps many people will perish. However, there are over 6 billion people on the earth, and I think there will be many survivors.

My opinion, in brief, is that there will be great challenges and possibly loss of lives. But the end of civilization and the world? I doubt it.

No one really knows yet. But the mayan calendar ends at 2012. Scientists and Archeaologists suspect this is when it will occur, but are not so sure. There was another theory that the world was supposed to end in 2007 from a nuclear holocaust, or so it side in the Jewish religion book(forgot the name), but as you can see it hasn't happened. So it's possible for 2012.

From Stone Age till now the human mind is full of the end of time.

Thus we wonder when it will come in our time on earth.

We follow the teachings handed down religious philosophers of past.

Thus we pray for salvation when it comes to the end of time.

Just as long as the sun keeps on shinning bringing forth its rays of life.

Thus the rains will come and wash away the sins on man.

We wonder if the world will end and when will it be in our times is any-ones guess from Stone Age till now we sit and wonder if the world will end by the hand of God.

Next question sounds better when will the earth be reborn thus bringing forth a new enlightenment of hope and dismay.
