Question:

Will the entire 23% who approve of Bush be at the Convention?

With a Center Stage seating capacity of 19,355, that will just about be everyone who still approves of Bush. Is that why the GOP chose such a small venue? So everyone could be there?

It also explains why they are so jealous of Obama's popularity...

  1. No, I will be going to work as usual.  I expect zero government handouts and find it impossible to take off work seeing that I'm not on welfare.

Obama' plans to bail out the lazy make me sick.  Jealous--hmp!

  2. Winning the election isn't a matter of popularity. It doesn't matter if you are an adored celebrity. It matters how you are going to govern the country. Fact is we can't afford Obama.

  3. Bush isn't even going to be there. He's going to be working on plans to take care of the people dealing with hurricaine Gustav. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080831/ap_o...

I bet most in the GOP are glad he won't be there.

  4. "Fact is we can't afford Obama."

No what you can afford is Obama you greedy *****. What you can't afford is more war mongering and a battle with Iran which is what McSame will probably give you.

  5. For those who wonder about the low approval rating of the supposed Democratically composed Congress, you need to read up about a little thing called cloture. Even when a bill was able to make it through Congress, GWB used his veto power to disable it. When a bill made it through and he wanted to sabotage it (because it might have had some stuff he liked on it, so a complete veto wouldn't be prudent), he used Presidential Signing Statements to take care of it.

"Presidential signing statements are official pronouncements issued by the President contemporaneously to the signing of a bill into law that, in addition to commenting on the law generally, have been used to forward the President’s interpretation of the statutory language; to assert constitutional objections to the provisions contained therein; and, concordantly, to announce that the provisions of the law will be administered in a manner that comports with the Administration’s

conception of the President’s constitutional prerogatives.

In other words, Bush interprets the law for himself and decides to change the original intent of it. He's been the most prolific user of this privilege of any other president. Because it would take too much time away from their "busy" American lives, many people would rather just take whatever sounds good to them than try to find out the truth.

  6. Bush enjoyed an approval rate of over 90% at one time. So whine all you want, chances are that you supported him before you flocked to Obama.. who will just disappoint you again. You're just very easily led.

  7. Well, the 9% who support the Democratic controlled congress showed up for Obama, so why not?

  8. Sure. It is always best to go where you are liked.

  9. In response to a previous answerer, the Congress is NOT Democratically controlled. The Republicans have the advantage in the Senate, 51-50.

  10. yes

  11. It's hysterical how the GOP are exiling Bush from this convention.

Now they are using hurricane Gustav as a reason not to have him attend, like he really gives a c**p about that region.

This is all soooo d**n funny.
