  1. hahaha we need gas to run our vehicles very basic at the moment problem is we didnt have the nuts to go ahead with plans that lowered gas last time and now they dont believe we are gonna do anything about it soon as they give us a alternative that puts out 500 horses and 600 lb/ft of torque at the wheels we will go all out for it the prius is a step backward its too weak to be a real alternative plus still requires plug ins and gas to run we need a real car soon as a better alternative comes along america will go with it

  2. If blame is to be place anywhere, it should rest on the fact that the US Government has never established a National Energy Policy.  Simply said the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. It's a mess.

  3. edmond you are wrong...if that was the case, the US will still be drilling in Alaska and we would not be dependent on Saudi oil.  but the environmentalist say we can't because it destroys wildlife so Alaska is off limits to drill, even though there is a ton of oil still up there.  So the environmentalist do have a say in where they drill and can influence government.  But to answer the question, no they will never admit that the energy crisis is their fault because all they care about is nature....which by the way will change no matter what - climate change is real, global warming is not...the earth has been going in and out of ice ages for millions of years, it is on a cycle for every 10 - 13 thousands years....and guess what the last one ended about 11 thousand years ago...this is just what nature does - and the climate change is not only because of the human footprint!

  4. What a fool you are. The multinational oil companies don't care a bit about environmentalists. They drill wherever and whenever it is most profitable to them.

  5. No they won't, they don't have the maturity to admit they have a part in the current problem.

  6. Awwww, what's wrong?

Can't afford to gas up the Humvee?

  7. Will the industrialists ever admit the global warming crisis?

Look, having this political and ideological rigidity leads nowhere. Our founders gave us a system of government in which Congress cannot function without a centrist approach that requires compromise and accommodation. It’s not always pretty and sometimes doesn’t work out successfully, but it’s been a pretty good way of doing things for more than 200 years. But when political and ideological opponents dig in and never give an inch, and when special-interests’ concerns are placed ahead of the good of the American people, the system comes to a standstill.

Such is the case in the current energy crunch. Four-dollar-a-gallon gasoline has pushed the U.S. economy and many Americans to the brink. Want offshore drilling for oil and natural gas? Fine, then link it to higher fuel efficiency standards for cars and trucks. Want to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge? OK, then increase federal taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel to promote conservation (and offset potential loss of revenue). Want to promote shale oil development and coal conversion? Sure, but only if sufficient funding is provided to promote other alternative energy sources.

Above all, stop the pandering. Instead of compromise, we’re getting gridlock, and not just on energy. From entitlements to health care, from crumbling infrastructure to the meltdown in commercial aviation, Congress can’t fix what is broken because it is broken.

  8. I doubt it.

  9. I don't think so, because what you've said is something we in the fact-based community call 'not true'.

For decades, environmentalists have been arguing for alternative energy sources. It is the petroleum lobby which has blocked most of these efforts. If you want to blame anyone, blame them.
