I am going to florida and want to take my disposable cameras but I know that the x-rays will ruin the film. In order for the film to be ok do I take the cameras in my check in or carry on luggage?

  1. Your cameras should be fine being checked in. DO NOT carry them on, unless you tell the people at the checkpoint to do a hand inspection on them, but this usually takes a lot longer. For some odd reason the Xrays are slightly different from the carry-on's to the ones that they use to check luggage.

  2. Carry-on the cameras and ask for a "hand-search" by security.  DON'T put the cameras in your checked luggage becasue the machine used to inspect suitcases may be very powerful.

  3. not at all, the camera will be fine in either.  Although I am not 100% sure disposables are allowed on carry-ons. they were banned at one time but you should check tsa.com to see if it is on the banned list.  But no, it will not be harmed in anyway.
