Will the fumes kill that spider?

Question

There was a little black spider in my room that was running too fast for me to stomp it, so I grabbed my Febreeze bottle (out of fear) and just started lacing the room with it, and then I closed the door, and sealed the bottom with a towel, so the spider wouldn't be able to run out of that room and into another. Once I started spraying the Febreeze, I never saw him running again, so did/will the fumes kill it?

Removing Spiders

You can remove a spider from inside your house by putting a jar over it. Then slip a piece of paper under the jar so that the opening is sealed, pick up the jar, and take the spider outside.

no the Febreeze fumes won't kill the spider however if you sprayed it directly onto him it probably would by drowning him trust me i've killed spiders with spray can deodorent before!! yuk
