Schumach is correct. Oil, from which automobile fuel is derived, is a finite resource and with India and China demanding more oil for their burgeoning economies, the price will only go up.

It's a simple matter of supply and demand.

well laurag, gas prices will continue to fluctuate with the market, tending to drop in the winter time and increasing again during high travel times as well as the summer due to demand.  For an overall drop in the price of gas, the oil market must begin to fall. With the current world issues as well as a much higher demand for the resource with 3rd world countries beginning to demand oil, the price will continue to rise.  Therefore, no drop in the market is expected.
