  1. It may sink a little - just untill we stop complaining. Then it will slowly rise again, then shoot up at the nearest hint of a strike or disaster again.

The thing is, a lot of money is tied up in oil at the moment - the investment market is saturated because they saw it as a good investment. If one major player decided to sell - the price would tumble quite quickly - may even crash. Well, we can hope ;-)

  2. They are coming down..Its the end of the summer driving period. If you mean back to 3 bucks a gallon. NO.

Hopefully in 20 years if we have not killed ourselves off, we should be on some type of renewable energy and off of most ( never all) fossil fuels.

I am not I tree hugger but we somebody better due something! mark my words.

  3. Gas prices rise and fall in cycles.  Regular here 45 minutes outside of D.C. is down to $3.59.

  4. It depends on our dependency on foreign oils. If we can come up with alternative energy fuels, we won't need oil like we do now, and therefore the oil companies will charge less so that we will buy it. We won't buy something that we don't need for such a high price.

  5. go down to what?  Its down to $3.73 for regular here in maryland.  It may go down to about mid 3 dollar range but we will never see sub $3 gas ever again.  Maybe in about 50-100 years once we are no longer using gas then gas may be cheaper, but by that point I dont think it will matter.

  6. They already are.

  7. With the high gas prices these days I'm so glad I found this site that gives you a gift card for gas completely free! Check it out

  8. It will only go down just a little.  After the election it will go right back up but I really don't care because I don't have to pay for gas anymore.

  9. doubt it.. hah.
