Will the govt. pay you to care for a disabled family member?

Question

I am the primary caregiver of two disabled family members and have been told that I should "check into" getting paid for taking care of them.

Check with who? Does anyone know anything about this? One is on medicare, other is on permanent workman's comp.

im not sure ... check with the local hospital and see about the hospice care program, i think u need to take a class and then u can get paid to take care of them ...

Apparently they do.  Not sure how much though. Check with your Centrelink Office.
