Will the i group and talent shop ask for money like john robert powers did?

Never heard of it.

With any talent agency, though, it doesn't hurt to check them out (in case they are legit and can get you work) but never sign on with them if a) they want any kind of money up front (an agent should get commission off of the money you make from a job they help you get)

and b) don't sign an exclusive agreement unless you're sure that's the agency you want to deal with.
